I am a pretty big stricker fan and he has made the cut at like 27 straight majors that he has played. He is due for some fricking tv time in Wisconsin because he hasn't gotten any for the last ten years. Granted, he is not a huge threat to win ever, but he's been awesome for years.

I disagree that he's an arrogant guy Peej. I think he really is a pretty good kid. I just don't think he's someone that a big segment of golf fans can relate to ( I, for one, like my guys to be a little flawed...makes them more relatable). Also, watching him take so long is just grating at times, and it doesn't help when he is the center of attention on broadcast even though he's not in contention.

I agre, it's like since Phil isn't there Fox just assumes everyone wanted to see Speith shoot over par. The amateurs are the story. Got 2 of them in legit contention.

Leader will be at -11 today. Course playing easier than I thought it would.

Hideki hitting out of the stuff I always do

Except his went where it was supposed to mine would hit a spectator and I'd get sued.

How is this a nine mile walk. Looks like the tees are fairly close to the former greens.

I think Stricker gets plenty of coverage week to week. He's a great player and by all accounts, a pretty good guy that is basically the elder statesman on tour. However, he hasn't won on Tour since 2012 despite being in contention a decent bit. Nonetheless, he gets way more press than other guys who have won multiple titles since then.

I get the love this week. He made it through qualifying and is making a nice move here in his home state. It's a nice story that adds some flavor to a broadcast before the guys at the top tee off.

Probably the worse take in this thread. Sound like Elk going after Rory. It's jealousy and not understanding how hard it actually it is to win a major. Kids our best American player with 2 majors befor 23 birthday. He's only 24 and although I hate the constant coverage on him when he sucked it up all day, Speith has a nice following.

Every golfer should be -2 after the first 4 holes. I figure a couple of those guys in the lead will do just that.
