Ferg’s Sports Bar is a Rays favorite if that’s your kinda scene. Parking is pretty straightforward if you want to pay in advance. I always just pay and park in the lots outside the Trop. Try to avoid right field seating because that’s where the giant Jumbotron is and you won’t be able to see all the replays and videos if you sit over there without craning your neck. Also some advice, the Trop isn’t as bad as everyone says, but don’t go in expecting a “traditional ballpark experience.” It’s kinda surreal actually.

Hurricane is right. Ferg’s is a good place to go before the game. Trop is also great because you can bring food and bottled water into the game. Bodega on Central has awesome Cuban sandwiches. There are also neat places all up and down Central Avenue in Downtown St. Pete.
If you want to save a few dollars on parking, there is 10 dollar parking a block or two north of Ferg’s on 1st Ave North.
If you stay at the Vinoy, Courtyard Downtown, Hollander, etc., all these hotels have shuttles to the Trop. Vinoy is also where the visiting team stays. It is supposedly haunted. I love downtown St. Pete.
