what does their cap look like? embiid has his max deal and so does jimmy but it seems like they are pretty flexible everywhere else but im not super knowledgeable of their deals

reading on other sites they all seem to like it for the 6ers. I don't get it.
I mean Tobias is pretty good but does he transform them THAT much?

hes would be a really good 3rd option. but it definitely seems like a lot to give up for a dude on an expiring deal. i guess it helps that those picks wont be lotteries but still

They've said they are working the budget to keep their four of Simmons, Embiid, Butler and Tobias together long term. So they made the deal with the intent of longer than this season
That’s true but Tobias turned down a $20MM per annum extension earlier this year and will likely get max money this summer, as will Butler. Simmons is up for an extension after this season iirc.
Sixers could be looking at having over $100MM per year tied up in just those four starting next season

Both Boban and Mike Scott are on expiring deals, Redick's $12.2 million comes off their books (although I think he'll re-sign for less).
If they find a taker for Fultz, which I'm sure they'll sell low on now, Zhaire Smith will be their highest-paid player outside of the four next season at $3 mil

heat pick probably will

yea, i just looked it up. as it stands they have enough cap for a max deal even if they dont find a taker for fultz. i think they are going to pursue klay. i guess this deal is to get a head start on a decent back up option if their other max options dont happen?

I don't see any way the Heat aren't in the lottery if they whiff in FA this year. They'd almost have to blow it up.

i believe in death, taxes, and the heat stumbling and bumbling their way to the 8th seed

They really goofed with some of those awful contracts to guys like Whiteside, Dragic, Tyler Johnson, James Johnson.
Riley is probably kicking himself every time he sees this summer’s FA list

My good buddy from school is a big heat guy and thats all he was saying at our super bowl party

Wasn’t that a byproduct of not getting KD in 2016, for Whiteside at least?

Random thought about the Heat.
Why does Erik Spoelstra get so much love? Even NBA guys consider him basically a top 5 coach in the league. But why?
He has done nothing.
LeBron\Wade\Bosh took him to 4 championships. As soon as LeBron left they were shite. He's had multiple all star players since LeBron has left and he still hasn't done shite. Hasn't had a team that could really compete and barely makes the playoffs every other year.
What's the deal?

Who is the star they had since lebron?

Anyone listening to lebatard? Michael Thompson apparently facetimes papi and says he wants Klay to end up on the heat

There is no guarantee that any other coach could have lead that Heat roster to 2 titles in that 4 year period. That in and of itself puts some credit on Spo’s end.
Spo has also been getting more out of recent rosters than some people think he should have.
