Arguing whether or not it's "right" or legal has nothing to do with it.

The issue is we suspend players for it while Alabama does not. There are plenty of Bama players that get popped as soon as they're tested in the NFL. That is an advantage for Alabama. Period. That's the issue.

The varying testing practices from program to program is getting old though. It should be an even playing field if it's affecting the field. Some schools have guys suspended constantly without ever getting in legal trouble, then at others you have guys getting arrested w weed constantly yet they have never failed a drug test

OK, that's fine. But in doing so, the penalty for driving under impairment will be a minimum of 10 years. No exceptions.

Just punish them like Nicky does. Suspend them for the National Anthem and moment of reflection.

Spend some time in Colorado. Not on vacation to touristy areas, but for work. I have. Try to get stuff done and function in public when nearly everyone who is out is a stoned millennial. Seriously, give it a shot. I always rode the fence about decriminalization and legalization. Had no real opinion without seeing both sides of the argument. After seeing both sides, I am firmly against legalizing yet another substance that chemically alters the mental state of being.

I spent enough time in high school being a stoned idiot surrounded by other stoned idiots. It's a natural progression that we should outgrow as we mature into adults, not something that we should try to carry with us into maturity. I'm not talking medical pot for cataracts or cancer or glaucoma. I'm talking dispenseries where anyone can buy chronic and walk outside and get baked. Live in that world for a week and see where your opinion lies.

Until it gets off Schedule 1, it will be difficult for it to not be tested for college athletics, as long as Sessions is the AG.

Don't hold kids accountable, just change the rules....

Great idea.

Naw man. That would be crazy. Society needs to change so college kids can play football and still get high.

Is alcohol consumption for most college aged kids illegal? You drink in college?

I like hamburgers. I damn well could not eat hamburgers if my job/future depended on it.

Any of these guys who make it to the NFL will have the same restrictions. Those who can't abide by the rules simply don't care enough about the consequences. It's not a bad litmus test.

Some kids would rather be cool than stop smoking their weed. Sounds like some have an addiction problem if they can't stop.
