I will never forget the first season of Hard knocks on HBO and the clips of former Arizona Wildcats QB Ortege Jenkins that made the show.

He had the "worst practice I've ever seen"

I thought Tebow wasn't a system quarterback...

Oh well.

And no, I don't hate on Tebow, think he's a great guy, but the media just blew him up while he was at Florida, and he wouldn't even be talked about right now if he didn't say God Bless all the time. He's just another person destined to be an average NFL player at best.

He has a slow, low release that could kill his career at QB. He is athletic enough to play in the NFL. But to change his release that much after this long will be difficult.

Tebow hasn't looked horrible.

Seriously, if I am an NFL GM he gets a shot. Maybe not as a first rounder, but he deserves a shot. If he can't make the squad, he can always be the team moyl.

This. Including the moyl part, if he is drafted by a team in NY or by the Dolphins. But seriously, if I'm, say, Carolina or a similar team, then why not? I've said in the past that Vick would be a perfect fit for the Panthers because they focus on the run and occasionally hit you with a nice pass play. If Tebow can be in a running system that asked him to make an occasional throw and maybe break a run here and there himself (like TN with Young...), then I think that he will have some measure of success in the league. But it really needs to be in the right situation: strong defense and running game are key.

Their is a difference between horrible n pretty bad. lol. No but seriously, his accuracy isn't as bad as people make it out to be on some throws he makes.

I had strep throat last year, I can tell you that I would have sucked at sports during that time.

strep throat is tricky because it depends how bad it is. I have no idea how bad his is. What i do know is his release still takes forever.

It sounds like his mechanics are awful and his accuracy is questionable. I'd like him to marry my daughter if I had one (and he's straight) but IMO it's not about liking him or not

If his mechanics have to be completely reworked then he is a three or four year project until he is useful at all IMO. I've heard some say stuff about maybe he can be a wildcat QB but he's not fast enough (will probably time out at 4.65-4.75 in the 40 I'm guessing) to do that in the NFL either.

He could just be one of those guys who was one of the best college players ever... but not good enough to be a starting NFL QB

Yeah. it's not even all his mechanics it's mainly just his slow release.

He isn't much of a speed guy he is more of a power runner.

Yeah depending on the severity this could definitely be a factor. Anyone saying other wise hasn't had it.

Yes, and that will likely just not work for him in the NFL either.

i'd agree with that, I think alot of his success will obviously depend on how the team that drafts him utilizes him.
