I was making the point that only one did.

Schwartzel -14
Day -12
Scott -12
Woods -10

Looks to me like 3 guys outplayed Tiger.

He was certainly "on" yesterday and Day, Scott, and Schwartzel and Ogilvy all out played him.

This was the original quote I was commenting on. They did outplay Woods for the entire tournament, but not in the final round, except Charl.

Don't really understand how you couldn't grasp this since I posted all of the final round scores only.

Since all 4 rounds count I was commenting that more than 1 guy outplayed him. Didn't see the "yesterday" in the quote you were commenting on.

I think it is more technical than mental with his putting. I could be wrong but he has putted poorly in majors before.

Putting inside 10':
2011 - 86.93%
2006 - 88.33%

3 Putt Avoidance (lower is better):
2011 - 3.82%
2006 - 3.31%

Good stats... That snapshot in time showed his putting stats were not that terribly different but better in 2006.

Here is a good article that talks about his game:
LINK

Tiger was freakishly consistent on putts within 6 feet. Tigers' falloff on putts < 6' were from .47 strokes gained in 2009 to .11 in 2010 to .17 so far in 2011—is perhaps one signal of his mental state. Like I mentioned before it was RARE to see him miss a putt within 4-5' much less the ones he missed within 2' on Sunday. His game has always been that he never loses focus.

Also, he's still getting used to using the Nike Method putter in lieu of his Scotty Cameron that he used for almost all of his majors. IMO, that's what lead to his "hot" putt on #15. He had the face milled prior to the tournament because he thought the ball was coming off the face too hot.

Even Ben Crenshaw, one of the most brilliant putters of all time, struggled with his putting multiple times over the course of his career.

What was with Tiger acting like he had won the tournament with an eagle on #8 yesterday? Shouldn't he act like he's been there before? No one else celebrates like that unless they win.

But that stat does not look at Tiger, but at Tiger relative to those around him. IMO, the field has improved as well over the past few years.

Also, using 2009 is not a good example for that stat considering it is well above his average throughout his career.

Tiger putting from 6':
2011 - 70%
2009 - 85.42%
2007 - 71.43%
2006 - 81.08%
2005 - 68.52%
2004 - 75.44%
2003 - 66.67%
2002 - 77.78%
