m whole points are:
1. Tiger did not career out like yall are implying
2. Augusta is NOT one of the hardest major championship golf venues. It doesnt matter who wins. Every US Open course is tougher than Augusta.

don't have to. YOU say Tiger is SO great and that Augusta is like a par three course. Then WHY doesn't He WIn IT EVERY YEAR??????????
you are such an overreacting douche. by saying that it isnt the toughest major championship course is hardly saying its a "par 3 course". Why doesnt Tiger win every year? well damn its not like every other player in the field is playing oakmont or something. EVERY frickING PLAYER IN FIELD IS PLAYING THE SAME COURSE

it is all about the setup. if they grow the rough up at Augusta like the USGA does for hte US Opens it would be in same ballpark as those other tracks. This is so far off the discussion though.

Thread is about tiger's interview and lack of professionalism. You lost that argument so you throw out anything that sticks to the wall.

What does a course being easy have to do with someone winning a tournament every year? The hard courses are the ones that weed out the less talented golfers.

i said he was an arrogant douche, but that doesnt bother me. I watch sports to see great sports, thats it. i dont care how someone i dont even know behaves.

this is true, but they dont so it isnt one of the toughest. i was reacting to you saying augusta was the easiest venue.

Oh my god that is the funniest shite ive ever read. Tiger is what 41 under on 13 and like 30 under on 15? Over par has won the masters once in forever, and recently +5 has won 2 US Opens! :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Aggregate winning scores from the past 5 years for the 4 majors. Make of them what you will.

Masters -42
US Open +8
British -40
PGS -48

and this considering that every par 5 at Augusta is able to be eagled (which is why 13&15 are so far below par over the years). The following per Bobby Jones:

It was one of our guiding principles in building the Augusta National that even our par 5s should be reachable by two excellent shots.

BUT he WAS on and FAILED.

Tiger was not on yesterday, or all week for that matter.

Tiger left 8 to 10 shots on the greens over 4 days. Back in the day, Tiger never 3 putted. He 3 putted at least 4 times during the 4 rounds. How many putts inside 5 feet did he miss? At least 5 or 6.

Tiger did not win the Masters in 2011 simply because he did NOT putt well enough to win the 2011 Masters.

You aren't missing anything. McAtee asked a couple of dumb questions and Tiger gave a couple of very short and say nothing answers

It the same interview for the last 15 years. Why are people expecting something different? Bill Belicek and Tiger Woods have given the same short answer interview their entire career.

as for disappointment, I saw the best that Jason Day, Schwartzel, and Adam Scott will ever play (-4 to -6 under in the final round of a major) and They knew it.

Tiger shoots 67 and he/everyone was looking for 62.

he missed putts all the time back in the day. from 2006-2010 he lost the masters because of putting. do you remember that he finished bogey bogey to dimarco in 2005? it happens. he will find his stroke and start making clutch putts again.

I'll disagree... Is Tiger Woods a great putt - NO he is not a Ben Crenshaw. Is he a clutch putter - you damn right he is (was). Tiger Woods rarely EVER missed a putt less than 4'-5' pre November 2009 in a Major much less the two putts he missed inside of 2' on Sunday and the 4' putt on 15... He had 120 putts this year at the Masters... I'd be interested to see Tiger's putting stats at the Majors... i.e. 3 putts, average putts per round, etc...

How can Ogilvy outplay Tiger when they both started with and finished with the same score?

Not the majors, but it's a good sample compared to 2006 Tiger (majors: 2 wins & T3 + won 8/15 tournaments):

Putting inside 10':
2011 - 86.93%
2006 - 88.33%

3 Putt Avoidance (lower is better):
2011 - 3.82%
2006 - 3.31%

1 Putt %:
2011 - 38.54%
2006 - 37.71%

Avg Distance of putts made:
2011 - 50"
2006 - 54"

Putts per Round:
2011 - 29.38
2006 - 29.38
----------------------------
Here are the bigger stats IMO:

Avg Proximity to Hole:
2011 - 38'
2006 - 31'7"
Average difference of over 6' on every hole is huge. Also contributes to the slightly lower putting statistics.

Greens in Regulation %:
2011 - 69.1%
2006 - 74.15%
That's an average of 1 extra putt for birdie every round.
