The Navy Seals thing cost him being great in his 40s. I know he had the one year, what was it, 2013, that he won a lot of regular tournaments, but the damage he did to his body playing GI Joe ruined the last 10-15 good years he had left.

I believe his peak was better than Jack's peak but seems fitting that he'll likely never get the 18 majors. While I don't know if this latest incident was reckless, there were other choices he made that cost him breaking the 18.

Yep, this is very accurate.

I know Jack would never cut a brake line, but that Barbara. Tiger better keep his head on a swivel...

Maybe I can get on Cabera's routine and become a multiple major champion like him.

To act like all of these guys are world class athletes is a testament to how low your IQ is.

People are acting like Jack didn't find 2nd in majors 18 times. Jack's the best, Tiger made his run but came up short. Tiger wanted 18 more than anything but couldn't. He's the 2nd greatest golfer ever, not knocking the guy but Jack's the ggoat

yeah that's it, insurance salesmen, look they both beat the best golfers in the world of their time. But a ton of the guys in that era were also world class athletes. Arnold Palmer, Snead, Gary Player were all physical studs.

The field Jack faced in his prime was not as deep as what Tiger faced, but it was much more top heavy.

Palmer
Player
Watson
Trevino
Casper

Personally, I think Tiger’s best was better than anyone’s best. The 2000 US Open was the greatest golf ever played. And Tiger doesn’t have near as many second place finishes as Jack because Tiger was the best closer of all time. If he was near the lead on Sunday, he was winning.

But let’s not downplay Jack’s 18 major wins and all of those runner-ups. The fact that he was right there at the top of so many majors if greater than what Tiger did. The consistency of Jack’s career has never been matched.

Tiger was on pace to smash Jack’s numbers until his own decisions and actions caused him to injure himself.

I think Tigers best golf was better too, but your reasoning doesn't make sense, Jack had more firsts AND seconds, and Tiger had plenty he didn't close.

He lost to Yang

what type of equipment do you think Tiger was using as an amateur when he was smoking the ball 330+ of the tee and hitting 2 irons 285?

If there is any single golfer that equipment changes negatively effected more than anyone else, it’s Tiger.

The equipment and ball changes have drastically leveled the playing field for the other golfers. I’d argue Tiger would have broken even more records if the equipment hasn’t improved so much.

Picture on Daily Mail may not be Tiger, but enough metal to set off metal detectors two inspection areas away. LINK

It also mentions that the sheath around muscles had to be cut into to reduced the muscle swelling due to the force of the accident.

And wasn’t that the first time in Tiger’s career on the PGA that he led after 3 rounds and didn’t win? Up to that point Tiger was like 38-0 with a Saturday night lead.

Not sure on the number, but it’s something like that.

Tiger is one of the all-time greats.

Tiger can’t match 18 wins and 19 runner ups..... it’s just a fact.
