Jack hasn't' been worried about Tiger breaking his majors record for over a decade now.

Not a chance in hell.

And he’s getting hardware with those breaks. Lots of it. He’s never playing competitive golf again.

The Tiger Woods story is such a tragedy. The guy has all the fame, talent, money, and winning in the world but you can tell he's not a happy person.

Maybe, but "happy" is not the personality of someone like him, he lived to win, thats it.

Such a simpleton view. Nothing screams a good comparison like when one guy is beating up on world class athletes, and the other is beating up on insurance salesmen.

yeah that's it, insurance salesmen, look they both beat the best golfers in the world of their time. But a ton of the guys in that era were also world class athletes. Arnold Palmer, Snead, Gary Player were all physical studs.

I mean boxers smoked in the 60's

Exactly. There are major shitheads who people give 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chances too. Tiger isn't a shithead.

Yup. Palmer could drive it 300 yards with a wooden driver the size of today's putter heads and a 100-compression balata covered ball.

Jack had to compete weekly with a dozen extremely good players.

Tiger had to deal with hundreds of world class players weekly.

For those that dont know, back in Jack's day, alot of pro's were "part time". They sold insurance on the side, etc.

Today's professionals are world class athletes with trainers, nutritionists, sports psychologists, etc.

It would be like saying Pistol Pete was a better basketball player than Michael Jordan.

Lkke Jack, Pistol Pete was incredible.
Jordan was better though. Like Tiger.

Name them? Besides a handful, Patrick Reed

DJ is fit but pretty much a beanpole, Justin Thomas who weighs a buck thirty? Roy is fit but hit it just as good as a 140 pound teenager.

This might be the worst sports analysis I’ve ever read on this site.

I am afraid that Tiger is going to have circulation problems in his lower right leg post recovery. His ability to generate lower body power off of his right leg going forward is going to be difficult for him as well.

Hope his post surgery life goes into a positive direction from this, and he has an inner circle that will watch after him and not leach him.

I've pulled for and against Tiger over his career and watched that documentary about him recently. I hope that he makes a full recovery and is able to play at a high level again at some point.

I believe his peak was better than Jack's peak but seems fitting that he'll likely never get the 18 majors. While I don't know if this latest incident was reckless, there were other choices he made that cost him breaking the 18.

what type of equipment do you think Tiger was using as an amateur when he was smoking the ball 330+ of the tee and hitting 2 irons 285? The newer equipment in the last 15 years or so you're talking about actually hurt Tiger, not helped him, because it minimized the separation between the elite and the good pro golfers. When all clubs became so much more forgivable, mainly the driver, it leveled the playing field quite a bit. Jack has said this many times too.

This was his bag when he won his first Masters. Tiny club heads no larger that the persimmon woods of Palmer's era, basic Mizuno blades (he still uses essentially the same irons btw), cleveland wedges, and the same scotty putter he's been using his entire life

No he’s not.

Was Bill Russell better than Michael Jordan or Lebron?

Tiger played the best golf the world has ever seen.
