Thursday night football must end in the NFL

Once again we have an injury parade going on. It was pointed out by the Saints (Brees) last week, but it's obvious. These guys' bodies cannot hold up to this punishment on such a short turnaround.

Simien injury sucks. But you can’t blame that colts player who went off in a stretcher on the Thursday night game. He had a pre existing spinal condition. He probably shouldn’t have been playing football in the first place.

Yeah, I mean, who really cares to watch 2 of the 8 teams that are eliminated from playoff contention?
I know they set these games before the season, but man, that's a bad matchup that can't be flexed.

Didn't watch and haven't watched a Thursday night game all year outside Saints last week.
I hate Thursday night games and find it the most ludicrous idea in all of sports for its current set up. Need bye weeks for both teams by adding another bye week into the season and getting rid of half the preseason games.
Just my opinion of course.

What injuries are less likely to happen because of an extra 2-3 days of recovery? Was Trevor Siemian, for example, really more likely to injure his shoulder because of the day of the game?

They could just shorten the number of weeks of TNF, and have only teams coming off by's play TNF games.

I probably haven't watched a Thursday night game since the Cowboys beat the 13-0 Saints in 2009. I just forget that they're on and the game is usually a terrible product so I'm never looking forward to it.
