Thursday is a big football kickoff day

Wed is the final day without scheduled NFL or Division I football for two straight months. When you wake up Thursday, a stretch of 61 straight days with at least one football game await, until there is nothing on the calendar Dec. 1 or 2.

I will bite and take the unpopular opinion. I think this is over-saturation.
I can live with HS football on Friday, college football on Saturday, and NFL on Sunday and Monday.
I don't need MACtion on Tuesday or Wednesday. I don't need a poor-quality NFL game on a Thursday when the teams are playing on short rest, or on Black Friday or on a Wednesday from a foreign country. Sometimes more is less.

Glad to know I am not the only one. There are a lot of people here who are in the "I would rather have football than not have football" crowd. Which I get to a point, but it is like chocolate. Chocolate is delicious until you eat too much, then you get sick to your stomach and puke.

You can thank gambling for this. Historically the product was better and we got it less often. Now it’s on all the time and is mostly dog shite. But hey, at least I can lose 100 bucks on some random mac game on a missed field goal on a Tuesday!

No one forces anyone to watch or gamble. Its great for those who like football. The rest can watch WNBA or male cheerleading instead.

Will I be watching a random Wednesday night game between two G5 teams who will likely finish the year barely bowl eligible. Yes, I am. And there is nothing you can do about it.

It’s damn sure been made easy to access and participate. You don’t even have to get out of the recliner to potentially make life altering choices. I’m all for people having the right to gamble and voted in favor of it in Louisiana, but I can also see the writing on the wall when it comes to being able to bet on almost anything all the time.

Which of the upcoming weeknight games will mean less to you than it did in the past because its on TV now?
You can still just read scores the next day if you really want to. No one can force you to change the channel to ESPN 8 from your regular Wednesday night Murder Porn marathon on the ID channel or whatever.

Because you are bitching about it duh.
Its not over saturation if you make a choice and don’t watch all of them. So if you don’t watch how is it over saturation?
Its like eating. You have a choice where to eat and how much to eat. Is it the food place fault they offer so many choices or your fault for bitching they have so much?
