This is the first full game I've watch of Texas. I did see part of the BYU game but I kind of wrote that off as just a horrific performance.
I don't normally like this term because I think it's over used, but Texas is SOFT. Soft up front on both sides of the ball soft on defense in general. They don't tackle, don't block and don't play with any violence. Third and one and they are lined up in the gun running wide to sideline???
If LSU, UGA, Bama, UF, Stanford or whoever didn't have their starter at QB against a team like Iowa State, they'd line up three tight and run the ball over their arse all night. They'd come out with 31-7 win.
The shocking thing is that Texas obviously can't do that. Given the pool of lineman and big athletes they have to recruit from I just don't see how this is possible.

Honestly ISU should be 3-0 right now...the loss to Northern Iowa was just ridiculous and Iowa could have gone either way because we're equally awful
