I forget what Bama game it was, but he thought Mark Barron was playing offense when it was actually Marquise Maze.

I remember that game. It was all of them for about a 3 year span.

LSU in 2006 and 2007 was on CBS almost every week and Verne and Danielson slobbed on the knob of countless LSU players

Disagree. His Bama homerism is blatant.

Is that the radio broadcaster for Bama games?

If so, my in laws always put him on and mute the TV when Vern and Gary do the Bama games.

Do you like him or dislike him?

"Verne always pulls against my team."

Signed - fans of every SEC team.

I like the Verne and Gary combo, although Verne is making more and more mistakes. That said, I think it's the best crew and production out there. Gary is spot-on when talking x's and o's.

The production crew and cameras are great. The ABC and ESPN crews will occasionally miss penalties and fail to show replays of key plays and/or penalties. CBS is always right there with a replay, and Danielson is right there with an analysis. He criticizes and praises as necessary.

Who cares?

I have yet to understand why people calling a game annoy/bother/anger people so much.

Same with Corso hate. The guy had a stroke and people beat him for his mistakes, I say let him keep doing his thing. It's sad that he's at that point but he's a part of the show. Just change the channel.

My biggest gripe with him is when something happens he seems to be 5 seconds late.

Like Manziel's escape TD pass against Bama last year.

Verne: "Alabama rush....got em' (matter of fact)

Danielson: "No they didn't."

Verne: "No they didn't."

Danielson: "uh, yep"

Verne: "Oh, my gracious! How about that!"

ETA: And Danielson does seem very pro Bama - in their games against LSU and TAMU.

If you can't do your job well, or aren't effective anymore as a result of a stroke, you should be replaced.

Nothin personal, just business. Same thing with old age. It's time for the old guy to retire.

Verne doesnt bother me, but I dont really pay attention to what he says. He is more fluff to the broadcast.

Gary, i listen to see whether i agree with his point.
