We used to have a shot bet on how long it would take Danielson to make a Tebow reference, and this continued for years after Tebow graduated. We still today hear Danielson bring it up.

he's been horrible
half the time he has no clue who made the catch, pitch, hit, etc. He's even made up names for guys.

Be careful for what you ask for. I think Brando may be waiting in the wings for that gig and remember how awful he was on the game he did last year?

Here are my thoughts on Verne:
He seems to love calling games, which I like. He is never "boring" and always has a good time
My biggest gripe with him is when something happens he seems to be 5 seconds late. There will be an obvious holding call, the flag will fly, a guy will go 25 yards and he'll scream "WHAT A GREAT RUN......oh appears there is a flag on the play." It will have already come up on the corner saying "flag" and Danielson will just sit there waiting. It is the WORST on field goals. The ball has already hit the net and fallen down and he'll be like "GOOD!"
He could do that because he's not sure if the TV is on delay and doesn't want to ruin something but the timing is way off

I don't look for Verne to tell me what I already know about the teams, he is just entertainment in my eyes. I like that he seems to genuinely get excited during the game.
I'm more concerned with Gary breaking down what I don't always catch. He's great at that.

I did notice a certain "meh" attitude from verne when Hill was ripping a new a-hole in florida this week. if it was gurley it would have been 7 "oh my gracious" 6 "holy macrels" and 4 our fathers

Still Verne brings up Tebow way more than Danielson ever does. Danielson was obsessed with Jamarcus for the longest time.
