This ESPN/ABC cut in to Aaron Judge thing is ridiculous.

I understand the importance of it and all of that, but people didn’t tune into these football games to have them interrupted (and audio cut completely off) by baseball.

I don't. It's not even about a MLB record. Would they be breaking into programming if Durant was trying to break an Eastern Conference scoring record?

Yeah it’s pretty silly. It’s not like it’s that’s hard to watch the baseball game if that’s what you want to watch today

It’s one of the Greatest offensive seasons of all-time. That said, I can see how that can be annoying. But the MLB regular season will be over in 11 days.

That’s fine but I think anyone who is interested in that…..could simply just watch that game

His next home run won’t break any records.

I agree. Noon games in week four are way more important, valuable, interesting, and exciting than some guy hitting a ball

We need to interrupt football games people are trying to watch for tying a record that isn’t even the all time record? Yawn

Judge is up second in the seventh; are we gonna hear Michael Kay say “SEE YA!”? Be prepared to get pissed off!

We live in an culture of FOMO. But instead of people making an individual choice, corporations are making it for us.

Their ticker is way played out also. If people want to check scores and news they’ll pull out their phone. I don’t want to see that shite when watching a game

ESPN is making a big deal about this, in part, because its president, Jimmy Pitaro, is a rabid Yankees fan. Never underestimate efforts of worker bees trying to make the CEO happy.

Also, why aren't we raising more of an eyebrow toward Albert Pujols, who's at least in his early 40s, having a massive hot streak after 5 years of being arse to reach 700? Knowing what we know about juicing, how come no one is asking the due-diligence questions on this?

It's not. No one cares about baseball, even baseball fans.

They just cut away to show a check swing strike out. Nice.

Albert Pujols hitting 700 is still a bigger deal
