Still needs to go away. Big 10 CCG is almost equally ridiculous
I agree this should becone the new Army / Navy weekend and then extra round of CFP play instead start on following week

Define “significantly” more, but so what? They don’t get paid on a per viewer commission the TV contracts are paid for multiple years. 4 more playoff games would offset the revenue lost by canceling what is an obsolete game now.

Not for the SEC deal for an SEC vs SEC game
More playoff games means the revenue is split with other conferences

While true it could still be more than what they currently get from that one game. Notre Dame doesn’t have to share tv revenue like conference team do but the SEC and B1G teams were making more individually than ND was
