I can't blame this kid, really. If he's come to the realization that he's not going to be an NFL player, why not? You ever look at the NCAA schools that play top-tier Lacrosse? Those are some good degrees, and he'd be playing a game he loved (and by all accounts was very good at).

REPORT: Alabama QB Tyler Buchner will finish the season with the Tide, then transfer back to Notre Dame to play lacrosse for the Fighting Irish, per @TerenceFoy.

This kids a fricking star. It's a damned shame that Burrow got hurt bc I swear they're the best team in the AFC. Maybe Miami, but Cincy is grittier.

If this turns out to be true, I hope I'm wrong, but I don't get the excitement about Ward coming to Ohio State.

I've watched Ward since his days in the SLC. He can get the ball where it needs to be, doesn't turn it over, and can move out the pocket. He is easily better than McCord, although that isn't saying much. Not sure what OSU has left at WR next year, but if they are the typical bunch of WR's OSU produces they should have a great season.

Granted, I didn’t watch Ward throw a single pass this season, but is he THAT much of an upgrade over McCord to justify Day setting this precedent?

No, I don't think so.
Honestly, before McCord transferred, I'm not sure Ward would've been top three in that room next year.

I completely disagree. Ward is on a bad team, put him on OSU and he can dominate. He's a dynamic athlete. I think Day is looking for a qb that can run and pass. Ward would be perfect for you guys.

He's also playing a lot of bad teams. If we're moving on from McCord because he's not up to our standards at QB, I don't see Ward as a big enough step up. We have two other players I think would be better than Ward sitting on our roster right now.

Than why would Day be going after him? He sees all your QBs in practice, obviously he's not impressed and wants a better option.
