Arkansas QB K.J. Jefferson is entering the transfer portal, per his IG.
FSU called. DJU is screwed.
I would be okay with this. He could probably run for 1000 yards against most of the ACC defenses, and still complete enough passes to win a lot of games with FSU's defense.
Plus I reeeeally don't want to see him at another SEC school. Hearing things about him transferring to Auburn though

The 6-foot-6, 265-pounder was the No. 1 ranked recruit in Louisiana out of Madison Prep Academy on 247Sports out of high school in 2022 and saw action in nine games the previous two seasons, as a true freshman and true sophomore at LSU.

He’s going to look god awful when he isn’t surrounded by a bunch of Sunday NFL caliber WRs.

McCord is going to have a tremendous year at Syracuse. Watch and see.

We have some decent receivers, including Orande Gadsen II who will be back from an injury. He’s an NFL receiver.

Or Ohio State fans will be kicking themselves for not being patient with a first-year starter behind an average pass-blocking offensive line and often ineffective running game (admittedly due to injuries).
Joe Burrow's first year as a starter at LSU was:
219-379 57.8% 2,894 yards, with 16 tds and 5 ints
Just last year, Jayden Daniels had the following stats:
266-388 68.6% 2,913 yards, with 17 tds and 3 ints
Kyle Mccord stats this year were:
229-348 65.8% 3,170 yards, with 24 tds and 6 ints
The common feature among this year's Heisman contending quarterbacks was multiple years of experience. Having a 2nd or 3rd year starter at QB is proving to be one of the greatest benefits a college team can enjoy.

Robison, Vandagriff, Nelson
Riley has missed a lot out of high school recruits. He failed to coach up Spencer Rattler (Riley recruit) who did better once he left Riley. Caleb Willliams was his only HS recruit who did something - and it could be argued he regressed this year - and it was his raw talent and scrambling ability that made him good - not the coaching he got.
Riley feasted on ready made qbs. And it appears he is doing the same with the KSU QB portaling in.

Wouldn't be surprised if Day is feeling a lot of heat and looking for instant offense with a transfer.
Probably a bad move as has been shown here that even transfers usually do better the second year.

Malachi Nelson, top recruit in 2023 class, enters the portal. Riley is a bust at USC.

Where the Trojans go from here
USC has been openly tied to multiple quarterbacks in the transfer portal, including Kansas State's Will Howard, Washington State's Cameron Ward and Texas' Maalik Murphy. Murphy is a Southern California native out of Junipero Serra. The Trojans do not have a passer committed in the Class of 2024 or 2025, but Riley does hold a commitment from Julian Lewis, the No. 1 overall player in the Class of 2026.

Rileys problem is he never has a competitive qb culture.

ol stinkin lincoln is really shatting the bed out there isn't he? the QB genius only has a single QB on his roster right now
Posted on 12/17/23 at 10:25 pm to RLDSC FAN
Not surprising given that he is clearly not the guy for next year. Wants to play and won’t happen at SC, so he is out.

Pay for play has always been there. It's just come out of the shadows.
