The fact he was coaching at a time when the Pac-12 was the worst it has ever been with absolutely dreadful coaching at every major school and he still managed to lose 2-3 games every year that he shouldn't have.
Any competent coach at Oregon would have been in the playoffs with those teams. Christobal always found a way to blow games with horrendous in game coaching. He's a complete fraud.
Lanning is 100X the coach Christobal is.

No one is saying that Lanning isn't a good coach. Unless it's you. It certainly doesn't have to be one or the other. Mario produced at Oregon and I'm well aware of how hard it is to win football games in the Pac-12.
Mario at Oregon is no more a fraud than Lincoln Riley at USC. If getting teams to the promised land is the only yardstick we need to consider a good coach then Lanning needs to do a lot better himself.
Lanning's Oregon teams also continue to get handled in his conference championship games.
It's your yardstick dude. Enjoy.

You don't have to defend every shitty coach that was at Alabama. I promise it will be ok. Nobody thinks less of Saban.

So much science. Face it, dude, Riley, Mario, and Lanning couldn't get passed the conference championship game. Not one. Yet all know how to have double-digit wins at their Pac-12 schools.
