I'll never forget all the people bitching when Brees signed his 100 million dollar deal.

It's the market and there are far worse QBs who sign for that..

He actually earned his by being underpaid for so long and he has earned it since.. none of these guys are even close to as consistent as he has been.

QBs can’t win by themselves. If you want to compare their performances, you have to look at their defenses
So how do you reconcile the post that showed the Saints D vs Atlanta is pretty comparable?

Ryan is a top 5 QB, not his fault Sark is a retard, his o-line sucked, and half of his defense were hurt. Take off the black and gold glasses

So Brees had a better team and a better coach? Regardless nobody is saying Ryan is better then Brees but he's a top 5 QB for sure

All I said was Matt Ryan had consistently better defenses. Wasn’t wrong. Average finish was worse for the Saints. More bottom 10 defenses

So who else is in the top 5? And who are the next up?

A flash in a pan QB is not elite. Remember when people thought Flacco was elite?

Are you comparing Matt Ryan to Joe Flacco?

Is this real life?

That was an example dude. I also used examples of Eli and Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. Context much?

You directly compared him to Flacco. Saying he isn't consistent and was a flash in the pan.

Go read it again. Then read your post that it was a response to. The entire post was my system for comparing QBs, which I have detailed throughout this thread. In that post I’m talking general ways to compare QBs. Nowhere do I mention or make reference to Ryan. I said Flacco wasn’t consistent, he was a flash in the pan. I did not make any mention of Ryan. Go read it again

Picking around what? Are you trying to say everyone else is nitpicking their argument and not you? In the first two pages you talk about wins, super bowl wins, defenses, and "empty stats" because your arguments keep getting debunked one by one.

Like, I have 0 dog in this fight. Since I moved here I've become a moderate Skins fan at best when it comes to the NFL (which has been a fricking train wreck ) but I've never seen anyone try to move the post as much as you to try and argue a terrible point.

I built a case. Bit by bit. It’s not a single stat to define a QB. Gotta look at a resume

Perfect example of the picking around thing is the previous poster that took two sentences of a large post and ignored the context and tried to rip me for it

Out of those 6, Rodgers is the only one that stands out to me as someone you have to keep no matter what. Ryan is close to that level and then Stafford after him. Big drop after those imo.
