I could be wrong, but I don't know of any other fan base who attended games with bags on their heads like they did in the Dome for Saints games.

That is a pretty big statement on the quality of the teams during those days.

So who is the worst team ever? Tampa their first year under the great John McKay has my vote. What do you think of your teams execution coach? McKay, “I’m all for it.”

If I recall correctly, Tampa Bay went 0-26 and got their first win against the Saints to get the losing monkey off their backs.

Archie Manning fired them up by saying if the Saints lost to Tampa Bay it would be absolutely disgraceful-----------------and they lost bad.

This.

With Cam Ward you have to take the good with the bad because his play style isn’t going to change.

I don't care that this was completed. This is a bad play unless it's 4th and 25 in the 4th Q of a playoff game. If you are doing this on a basic RedZone snap in the first half, you are an unsalvageable retard of a QB. All flash and zero substance from Cam Ward. That's not winning QB play.

fans w/ bags over their heads was a staple of the Browns organization a decade ago. 1-31 under Hue Jackson definitely puts them in running for worst team ever. I wasn’t alive when the Saints went through that phase to compare but definitely not unique to the them. Browns did that all throughout my college years and beyond.

It's hard to say which NFL team is the worst of all time, but the Saints only win in 1980 came against the Jets in the Meadowlands.

Fast forward to their game on December 21, 2025 in New Orleans, and that may be two 1-14 teams battling it out in an epic contest.
