Why does Green Bay’s field look like dog shite before the game even starts?

The nfl is ridiculous for allowing fields to be in that condition, especially for a playoff game

There is a slight difference in climate to consider, between East Tennessee and West Siberia.

It’s half turf and half synthetic fiber.

Yeah. Under the circumstances, I'm surprised it doesn't look a lot worse.

It was brand new turf laid after the bowl game. You could still see the creases. That’s not a good thing

Nashville is central Tennessee in a topographic basin that holds heat in. That field hasn't frozen until two weeks ago. Probably a USDA zone 7.
Is it artificial or a combination of grasses?

I give them credit for sticking to grass. They keep lights on the field to grow it.

The Lambeau field was fine. OP prob thinks the Colts turf is brilliant because it appears bright green on TV, even though Williams tore his ACL on it.
