Tamale my #1 most overrated food. No matter how good they are they are still just “good”. Never had a great tamale. And I have had a heck of a lot of them.

Food is so much more than that though, my guy.

As you can imagine, I don’t eat tamales that often here in St. Pete.

But I make a few trips to Anniston and Shelby every year. And the meals I share with my family are priceless. And enjoyable.

The ones I grew up eating were like the ones in you pics. Just not my favorite.
