After jumping to an early lead, the Saints took their foot off the pedal. Instead of continuing to dominate the game, their fortitude waned and through their non-action, they allowed the Rams to come back into this game.

One play, no matter the circumstances, should not factor into a game if a team is truly better than their opponent.

The play all the refs got wrong is regrettable. But, the Saints should have never been in that position where that play mattered.

They had lost the edge before that though.

They played not so great but they are able to run out the clock with a proper PI call. This was handed to the rams on a silver platter.

Except that one play would have directly resulted in a win.

Unless Lutz misses a <20 yard FG so yeah.

If the refs make the proper call, the game is over. If he isn't interfered with, he probably catches the ball. One play can absolutely determine a game.

True, they played like shite.

But that still doesn’t change the fact that a missed call changed the outcome of this game and the Super Bowl.

As Aikman said, get the call right and the Saints can take the clock down to 4 seconds.

You're right, can't kick 3 field goals from the red zone and expect to win

What if both teams are even? One play can surely make a difference.

13-0 LOL!! Get ready to hear it for a long time, print the shirts.

You see how obnoxious this is? Well, maybe you’ll find out soon.

In that case, the game should go to the aggressor. The Saints started out as the aggressor, and then thebRams became the aggressor for the second half. The Saints played it safe.
10 points in the second half just won’t cut it.
