Asik is on their level overall, and WAY better than any of those on the defensive end.

He is 3rd in the league in rebounding too...

Lulz

Asik is a niche center. He's a good rebounder and that's it. He plays 30mpg, I hope his big arse can grab a few rebounds.

He has the 35th best PER amongst centers. You don't have to knight for him, he's not on the Bulls anymore

Go look up the Rockets Points allowed per possession allowed when hes on the floor vs. when hes off.

And by the way PER for centers is a useless statistic. Check out the top 5...

1. Brook Lopez (7 ft tall and can't rebound worth a shite)
2. Andre Drummond
3. Andray Blatche
4. Anderson Verajao
5. Brandon Wright
6. Javale McGee

Enough said.

Marc Gasol, Joakim Noah, Tyson Chandler, and Roy Hibbert aren't even in the top 10 PER for centers. In fact the most notable player in the top 10 PER for centers is Bosh, and hes not even a center.

I'm not the only one. Hes a popular candidate for most improved player of the year.

Who would've thunk they'd finish 10 games over .500 when OKC "bent over," "raw dogged," and "creampied" them according to some of the more astute Hornetards in the Martin/Harden trade?

They didn't say that specifically, though some said it was essentially a wash with those two. They were more referring to the whole package.

Not going to read that whole thread but I don't think anyone could have predicted Harden would be as good as he has been.

Will always like the guy and loved watching him play up here. Happy for him. He clearly needed his own team. He wasn't meant to be the next Ginobli IMO.

I'm not saying he sucks. He just isn't one of the best centers in the league.

He fits great w the Rockets

I did. I actually said it this time last year going into the playoffs when people were saying he wasn't worth a max deal.

I don't think its that. I think it was the fact that he was going to the Rockets that made people think he wasn't gonna be as good as he is right now.

Not the fact that Harden wasn't a top tier player.

Houston has:

Asik
Harden
Lin
Parsons
Robinson
Delfino
Terrance Jones
Aaron Brooks

The oldest player on that team is Delfino, at 30. That team has young, growing talent, and a bunch of pieces to make another splash trade.

Heck, that team as is could make a run in the WC playoffs. Their bracket right now is:

Denver
San Antonio
Golden State

With Denver and San Antonio's injuries as of late, its not far fetched to think Houston could make a run.

I was hoping for a SA vs. Miami Finals as it would've probably been the most competitive about a month ago.

But if we see a Houston vs. OKC Western Conference Finals, that would be AWESOME.

The OKC/Houston matchup in the 1st round should be a good one

It won't be the worst. The Spurs are completely fricking the Rockets right now, losing to both the Warriors and the Lakers this week.

If the Rockets can beat the Lakers, we get a chance to play the Spurs, who look absolutely horrible as of late.

Rockets in 2014. Dwight to Houston. Rockets sign-and-trade Osik. That's a bet.
