They just bought it a couple months back, you really think they can get things ready for Spring 2021 that quickly? COVID-19 is also going to need to be completely in the rear view mirror to have any chance at success.

The XFL deserves another chance. They last got folded due to a pandemic. I still think a minor league football can work.

I can see how it would be successful in St. Louis, but why would cities with an NFL team support this long term? I love football, but I don't mind having a few months off to watch other things and other sports. They'll do well for a couple weekends in Houston, Dallas, NY, LA, etc. and then nobody will give a shite.

I disagree. If COVID didn't happen, the XFL is easily still going.

I agree, when the XFL came back this past time and announced the cities, I thought it was a) suicide b) a joke. Their angle was the TV markets, which I can see. But for a league like this to have any sort of success, you need fan support + TV. Id keep 2 teams in Texas, with 1 being in SA. I would take out LA, and keep 1 in NY.

Dallas/Houston - tv market
San Antonio - Fan support
Seattle - tv market and fan support
Portland - fan support
St Louis - fan support
Birmingham - fan support
Columbus - fan support
New York - TV market

The week covid cancelled the season, the battlehawks had just shy of 60k tickets sold with a week left, could have sold out the 65k Dome.

Well, for being charismatic enough to go from a wrastler to one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, and the owner of a football league.
