I’m fine with Warriors. Generic, but you keep the whole Indian aesthetic. I wish they didn’t have to change but Redskins was kind of a weird name anyway. It will be some bullshite though if the Cleveland Indians change to the spiders or something like that.

1) Snyder has said over and over and over again he'll never change the name.
2) They're not opening it up to the public in some fan vote like every other franchise has done?
He's just going to unilaterally change the name overnight?

As a American taxpayer with no criminal record, I am way more offended by the word "Washington" than the word "Redskins". I at least respect Native Americans.

Heard a guy on the radio that worked with the Oilers doing their move, the name that the fans wanted was Tennessee Rebels. But he got a call from James Earl Ray's ex wife. She told him that "James would really like the name Rebels, and he was a bit racist." He told her he completely understood what she was trying to tell him. The organization chose Titans.

Which came out (I think) after Native Americans groups said something about having discussions on how to move forward on the name change.

If it were my choice, outside of keeping it as the Redskins, they’d be called the Washington Corruption.
