Again, the fact that he got a concussion doesn't necessarily mean it was forcible to the head.

You can get concussions without hitting your head, like whiplash.

Yeah, just a little incidental whiplash, Gronk. Shake it off

But whenever there is contact with the helmet, and a concussion was the result of the play, it doesn't take a genius to say that those two helmets met each other with a very large amount of force.

Helmet to helmet on a defenseless WR. Easy call idk what you're arguing

Idk what's going on in here. I thought that was a penalty live, and I still think it's a penalty on replays.

It wasn't malicious, but Gronk was defenseless, and the contact was forcible to the head, even though it started at the shoulder.

That's fine.

Call PI equally, then.

I thought they missed 3 PI calls in the game, and Bouye's was uncatchable. The 3 missed calls were all plays where the defender hooked the WR before the ball got there. Jags got away with one early on a deep post, and Patriots got away with one on Lewis late and another WR in the 2nd half. All three were the same types of plays, and all three went uncalled. I guess you can argue they were consistent with those calls, but not consistent with the overall concept of PI.

Proof that this board will argue anything and everything

Jags weren't called for holding either. Are you saying that they were perfect as well?

Vs 3 non presnap penalties against the Jags.

Seems like the refs felt like both sides played a pretty clean game.

Maybe you make different classes of penalties, 10, 20, 30 yards, etc. depending on the depth of the throw with spot fouls to the one only on something that occurs in the endzone.

Eh, I think that just brings subjectivity back into the mix, and that's essentially the root of the problem.

I think it should be 15yds, but also a reviewable foul. The refs are often in very poor position to make a PI call, so I see no reason why a coach shouldn't be able to challenge it.

6 for 98 yards vs 1 for 10 yds

Yea no discrepancy at all especially when the Pats got 3 first downs off of 3 them. Game is a joke baw. You think that team is legit but they get the benefit of playing in the East and have the officials in their pockets. You should put a star next to every game they in.

Again 3 of those were pre snap penalties. 100 percent on the jaguars fricking up. You want the refs to ignore that?

The Gronk call was a no brainer. You want the refs to ignore that?

Go ahead and argue against the PI all day, but the refs didn't call much in play penalties for either side all game. Which is what everyone wants the refs to do except when the team they don't want to win doesn't get 100 penalties

This is the worst.

At least with DPI spot fouls you can argue that is where the ball would/could be but for the PI. Auto-first down is the dumbest thing going.

3rd & 15 but a linebacker commits defensive holding? Give em the 1st. WHAT?

The ref in the Pats game was happy because Cameron Flemming stopped a potential fight. Myles Jack was throwing fists at Dion Lewis, and Flemming dragged Lewis away before it turned into an all out fight.

They missed a few calls (Especially the two plays where M.Lewis was held).

I also find it a bit weird that one only one angle of the Westbrook/Gilmore play.

They missed calls on both sides. They let both sides play fairly penalty free. That's about as fair as you can get it.

What do you mean? The 4th and 12 play? That was nowhere near interference

Receivers have caught on too. They create seperation with their hands all throughout the route leaving the defender no choice but to get handsy as well just to keep up with them. Early in the Saints/Vikings game Diggs even grabbed the defenders wrist, pulled it into his body, fell to the ground and got the call.
