The main reason they don't hit many out of bounds is they try to play courses with limited houses in the vicinity of the course. They have changed courses due to a neighborhood going in.

Or maybe they don't hit many 20 yds. off line.

So Lakeland? Have you played southern dunes in Haines city?

You don't watch Tiger anymore. He lives 20 yards off line.

Tiger spent many a year blowing it more than 20 and had shots to the green. Line the fairway with houses and see them play it different. A lot of courses we play don't have the open side to bail out. I don't miss many fairways, so it doesn't bother me. Equipment has sure changed things.

Most of those guys may hit one drive a YEAR that would be OB where you and me play but stayed in bounds on a tour set up.

ETA: I'm just a hack but I haven't hit a ball ob in a tournament since 1997 playing goat ranches. I'm sure there are many guys on tour who never hit a ball far enough off line to be OB. Ever.

No he didn't.

Nowadays, he does but generally he misses on the correct side. Another trait that separates us from them.

Put OB stakes on each side of their driveable par 4's and see if they all go for it.

Yep, I live in St Pete now, though. Eh, I don't think I have.

I donno. I was at TPC when tiger carded a 7 on 14 I believe. Pretty damn sure I could have done much better on that hole.

Yes he did. He hit it everywhere. Some courses don't have a correct side. And Tiger doesn't miss on the correct side. He splashed a few last tournament on the wrong side.

Play on tour. Quit frickin around. You're gonna end up coaching some shitty high school if you're lucky otherwise.

Do some research on the U.S. Opens played on old style courses and see how many OBs there were. Those courses are tight as shite and there were very few OBs hit.

If only I didn't have to be an attorney all other times. Wish I had the time to go out and hit 1,000 golf balls a day. Can only imagine.

Seriously? I didn't realize that. Golf doesn't translate to TV well at all.
