i desperately want to. kids got so much talent. i wish some old school pro would take him under his wing and he'd take to it. unfortunately, i see him bouncing around alot in the league, leaving a wake of pissed off teams behind him, and stupid, desperate teams in front of him thinking they can change him. sad.

Why is Motiejunas up on your list? He just recently started getting minutes, and has been average.

He's actually been pretty good in the minutes he's played. He's shown flashes of the potential he demonstrated in the Summer League.

Faried 14-14 will lead the NBA in rebounds virtually every year.

he's only got to move up 11 spots

he rebound rate has also declined this year

i havent gotten to watch hardly any rockets basketball, but from what ive seen, he was awfully pedestrian. even for a rookie getting his first taste of NBA action. hope im wrong....

he's still really young (only 22) and if he shot 50% he'd be putting up a 25+ PER

that's getting into superstar levels of production

you have to put all of this into perspective

he's currently 28th in PER as a 22 year old, traditional center

Well he had no NBA experience. People probably built him up too much before he came over and expected an immediate impact, but he's acquitted himself nicely.

Derrick Favors. When he gets minutes, he's an animal

You missed Love and Bynum. Who, despite the injuries, would still belong in your top tier. And Ibaka doesn't belong in the 1st tier. 13.5/8/3 is good, but it isn't star material or star production.

embarrassment of riches

More like an embarrassment of solid players.

when i thought up this thread he was the first on my mind, then i forgot to include him. he's #1 now

Bynum

i think he's done

look at his efficiency and defense

that production is a function of the team he's on and his role, and is a good example of why absolute production isn't the end all/be all of analysis anymore

Where is Bynum?

ETA: Ah, I see. I don't think he is done. When he is healthy, he is incredibly productive.

That might be what he plays for Orlando at the moment, but hes a 3. Exact same type of player as Paul George or Nic Batum. Dont see them on your list.

You're including a lot of smaller 4's. When people say that they are referring to true centers, which are pretty rare.
