They made decision to trade Luka
Brunson was another scenario entirely and Knicks likely tampered

Meh. They could have acted before it got to that point. They refused to extend him the season before free agency. this article goes through the whole saga

Oh I agree with you 100%. I just still can’t believe no titles with the three I mentioned. Scotty Brooks was a horrible coach.

Mavs fans should be more pissed about Brunson than Luka too. He’s the better player. Luka is always hurt or out of shape

they were soft and all needed the ball in their hands. can't even count Hardin. zero defense. zero clutch. you need a complimentary team, not redundant players. also, the NBA was pretty good then.

We also won the Championship in 2011 but didn't run the team back in 2012 then got shite canned and were never the same.

"Mark Cuban let key pieces walk—including Tyson Chandler and J.J. Barea. The resulting cap space went unused, and the team was swept in the first round of the 2012 playoffs. "

Yeah, because the Brunson deal received universal praise when it happened.

To be honest............Brunson wasn't Brunson yet.

He had one great series against Utah...........but really not much else.

No one had a clue what he would become...........and his dad with the Knicks made that happen.

They would have won if it was not for Lebron

To be fair, on paper, they recovered really well after missing out on Dwight Howard in free agency by swinging a trade for Lamar Odom.

Unfortunately, that was also the year he went into full blown drug induced depression and he ended up being so awful his teammates effectively vote him off the squad by season's end. The guy became so useless he would still be late to or even miss practice even though he lived across the the street from the AAC.

He went from putting up 14.4 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 3 apg on 53% fg and 38% 3pt in his final LA season to an awful 6.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.7 apg on 35% fg and 25% 3pt.
