He needs the Masters for a Grand Slam. I wouldn't call that playing tight.

What would you call it? He’s putting a lot of pressure on himself to win the Masters. Call it tight. Call it pressing. Call it whatever. It’s the same thing. Once he’s out of contention and gets loose, he looks like the Rory we expect.

I agree, he’ll get there at some point. He‘s too good not to.

A regular Augusta, -11 would be a winning score, or w/in a couple shots.

Rory is fine.

Others have played better than him which is fairly obvious. I'm not going to look up his Masters record, but other than winning, I'm sure it's impressive.

ETA: I changed my mind & looked it up. He has 6 top 10 finishes.

With each passing year, the pressure to complete the GS gets a little higher.

No golfer is guaranteed to play at the very top level into their 40's.

The clock is ticking and I would think oddsmakers would have him well less than 50-50 to complete the Career Slam.

You think top 10 finishes and playing tight, or pressing, are mutually exclusive?

How many of those was he out of contention heading in to Sat or Sunday and backdoored his way into the top 10? I can think of at least 2 over the last 6-7 years and two others where he was 2nd heading into Sat/Sun and blew up—probably still finished just inside the top 10.

If you don’t think he’s pressing at the Masters and it’s impacting his play at times, you’re fooling yourself or just being argumentative.

I'm not being argumentative. I'm simply stating my opinion which you don't agree with. I'm not going to lose any sleep.

I just read the last 5 pages, and even though she was the topic of about 75% of the posts, not one of you sorry motherfrickers posted pics of little Gretzky. There are rules, assholes.

Also, DJ is a top 10 all around GOAT talent. He should probably have 5 majors by now. Hopefully, he strings a few more together to get him as respected as his game should have him.

Preach, brother. He’ll play well at Kiawah and Torrey and obviously has a chance to repeat at Augusta. Don’t know shite about Royal St. George’s, but with that lineup he could easily pick up another major or two next year if he keeps playing like this.

In a decade, will this Masters be remembered as:

a) the fall Masters
b) the first Dustin Johnson win
c) the year Tiger (no last name needed) shot 10 on twelve, followed by five of six birdies
