What's this I hear about a different pin location than the traditional Sunday spot on 16?
Eta
But why?

Im trying to avoid that South Korean military service with a win today. You could say he has the most pressure of any golfer today

Probably a dumb question but how do they know their yardage to the pin each shot? For normal joes like us you obviously have the red/white/blue markings along the fairway and use a range finder, but I've never noticed on tv a caddy whipping one of those out.

The caddies have yardage books which have maps of holes with landmarks and distance

The sprinkler heads are marked with yardage to the middle of the green. The players/caddies use that number and where the pin is in relation to the center of the green to compute the yardage.

El Tigre is looking a bit rough today.

Their notebooks have yardages, etc all mapped out that, at the very least, were created during the practice rounds earlier in the week.
Further, if you watch the players on the green in a practice round, none will putt to the hole that has been cut. They all practice putting to a mark they suspect where the holes have been located in the past.

They should allow rangefinders if it would speed up play

Bryson has made his way into the top20 after being pronounced dead and buried

He pounded 4 Monsters and listened to an entire Alien Antfarm album on the way to the course. He's jacked to the tits.
They should have put a very subtle paint dot on 16s usual location so we could all angrily watch as guys putted back up the hill to the bastard spot from the paint.

Well, he’s still double digits off the lead—when it’s the lowest scoring average in history—while he was supposed to firebomb his way around to win the Masters, so that’s a pretty disappointing showing, no?

In the rough or in the trees? I don't think so. That's why you see players/caddies walking off yards to/from the nearest sprinkler head.

Is everyone at church or hungover? This thread is moving at a snail pace.

Who is that nerd to disagree with Jack on that?
So DJ really is going to give us something to watch today I guess. This could be devastating to him if he lets some relative unknown take him down.

For the first time all week, I’m missing the patrons. Normally they’re showing some early movers and you hear the roars and excitement building. Too low energy right now.

Im and Smith bailing DJ out a bit. Have to think Im drops one on 5 from where he left it.

Hence no sauna. The ladle is rusty. The robe is growing mothballs the wood is drying out. The rocks are cold.
