FAA is playing the best I have seen him tonight. He is just bullying Alcaraz.

FAA just flat out has the experience here. I hope for great things from Alcarez, but youthful energy isn’t going to beat experience 9/10.

My wife and I were talking and while it’s not full of 5 setters, the draw and matches for this US Open have really been fantastic. Every match isn’t a nail biter but just some great matchups and a lot of upstarts.

ETA: WTF.

I am perplexed by the increasing amount of retirements in the last few years. It seems like people are just willing to call it. Very rarely does it happen in tight matches. It has a few times, but not much.

I looked down then all of a sudden it’s over.
What happened?

My wife fell asleep and woke up to FAA’s interview and asked me what happened. I genuinely had no answer.

I could tell his attitude was bad from the little I saw of the match.

Alex is through to the semis. He seemed to have some back issues, so I hope it is not a big deal.

Sakkari is going beast mode on serve. I think she is serving like 85%.

Gotta hit they hay, so I am going to miss the Djoker match. He is going to break down that Berrettini backhand.

It’s kind of hard to fathom how good Novak is. His performance tonight is one of the more impressive displays I’ve ever seen

I wonder how Novak reacts after winning the calendar slam.

In 2016 after finally winning the French and holding all four Slams at once, he checked out mentally for practically a year and a half.

You’d have to think he handles it better this time

But getting 21 and finally passing Rafa/fed will weigh on him too

Fernandez in the finals. Sabalenka completely melted down at the end.

It's amazing to see this tiny girl take down these big strong chicks like Sabalenka.

I saw a little bit of her match at the gym. She's fun to watch.

Sabalenka wilted! Too much pressure.
