Maybe firing him is the right move but this was always going to be a bad year. You have your qb rb and wr for next season your goal is just build and get a top draft pick

I truly thought he was going to be a good HC.

I fear Skattebo is done. He'll come back, but not the same. Hope I'm wrong.

He's barely had a cup of coffee in the league as it is, there is no "coming back" because he's had zero impact anyway. Good player, I like him, I hope he comes back, but he's not really been much of a factor for the Giants. Too few games played.

The Giants are a mediocre organization at best. 12 playoff appearances in 35 years, just two over the last decade. Caught some lightning in a bottle with the Eli Super Bowls. Pathetic for a flagship franchise in America’s premier media market.

I think that Daboll could be a good HC at a different org. The NY teams' front offices are just dog water.

Completely agree. Honestly, I wouldn't mind LSU hiring him.

I love Dart btw but he did cost them the Broncos and Bears games with late 4Q turnovers AND he loves Daboll.

Dart's late turnovers in those two games were tough, but Dart didn't give up 33 points in the fourth quarter to the Broncos. Hell he even went down the field and gave them a late TD to give them the lead back just for their incompetent kicker to miss his second PAT of the game immediately after. Sure, you don't want Dart to turn the ball over and the interception definitely left the door open, but I don't place anywhere near as much blame on Dart for that loss as I do their defense and their place kicker, whom they cut the week after that loss.

I'm willing to give him a pass on the Bears one since he was injured on the play. The Bears DB made a good play on the ball, not like the time Dart just dropped the ball against the Saints. He actually corralled the ball back after he lost it against the Bears until his head hit the ground and he suffered a concussion. Regardless, the Giants had a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter and couldn't hold it.

Daboll has been a disaster as a HC. No two ways about it. He and Kafka have been playing hot-potato with the play-calling for like two seasons now to no effect. At no point during his tenure has the offensive line been even somewhat serviceable. Drove Martindale out to get "his guy" in at DC and the defense immediately went from meh to horrendous. Special teams are a dumpster fire. Jones got out of there, immediately started taking shots at Daboll, and then backed it up by playing far better in year one with the Colts than he ever did under the "QB whisperer." Have started each of the last three seasons looking like the entire team met each other for the first time 30 minutes before kickoff. The Cowboys and Broncos games this year are textbook examples of a badly led, badly coached team finding ways to lose.

Maybe he's a good OC and he admittedly has not been given a lot of talent to work with but the Giants are 11-33 since the 2022 season. No aspect of the team other than their rookie QB is currently functioning at even a competent level.

Should have fired him with the first Daniel Jones completion of the '25 season.

He's the best coach they've had in the last 10 years
