Best 50 game stretch since 1912. Surprised I didn't see a thread about it, or maybe I missed it. Anyway, currently on pace to win 115 games, do they get to 116 or more and tie or surpass the record for wins in a season? And if they at the very least don't make it to the World Series, it's gonna be a huge disappointment.

Their lineup & rotation are absolutely stacked. Team OPS is 3rd in the MLB & they're 5th in runs scored, and they lead the MLB in every meaningful category in pitching, ERA, WHIP & BAA. Even looking at advanced team stats, WAR wOBA, wRC+ & xFIP, they are top 3 in every one.

116 wins

1906 Cubs - lost WS
2001 Mariners - lost ALCS

No thanks

Now that they've added Yu, they're without question the favorite to not only get to the WS, but win it!
Pains me to say this

Do you want WestCoast boners?

Cause this is how you get WestCoast boners.

Notice how I've stayed out of this thread and have not made a single circle jerk thread during this run?

My boner has been flacid

They went 46-10 over a stretch in 2013 too. But, this year is a different, the Dodgers are a much more complete and balanced lineup than years prior.

However, this year, there are more loaded teams than were around in 2013 to compete for the pennant. Wash and Chi are monsters to face just to win the NL, to get a showdown vs Bost, Hou, Cleve, KC. NYY,etc..

And Zona a feisty dangerous matchup for somebody in NLDS.

Was told that today and thought it was a lie.

And now they have a rejuvenated Yu Darvish.

a little early to make these kind of statements when the cubs playoff hopes are still up in the air, no?

Oh, they will be there. They're just coasting through the regular season at the moment. Similar to what the Cavs do or have done in previous yrs.

Watching the game now. So do Boone and Mendoza ever shut up? Let the game breath a little
