If you had all the same opportunities as Dillon a had the same equipment you couldn't do it.

The Kid wasn,t just handed a cup ride, he earned his way through each of the lower divisions.

I more or less agree but he hasn't earned the right to wear the number 3. Imo the 3 should be retired.

BS...I had the talent to race. Ask ANYBODY working the go-kart tracks in PCB in the 90s.

No one could ever really earn it, though.

Hell Jimmie Johnson could switch to the 3 and folks would still have a problem with it.

Since NASCAR doesn't retire numbers, it had to come back eventually. Might as well be given to a young up and comer.

Nothing personal but I am so tired of hearing people bitch about the 3

FYI, Dale Earnhardt wasn't the first driver to drive the #3 and he wasn't the first driver to be killed while in competition yet we didn't retire any of their numbers so we should treat Dale the same

On top of that, Dale wanted the three to be used after he retired as he told Childress so.

People just need to get over it, Dale has been honored time as time again and will continue to be honored as he should

How often has Kenny Irwin been honored? How many races did his number miss?

I could give 2 shits about him driving the 3. It's that he driving a black #3 that is the same font as Senior's

I mean it's not a solid black car, it's more half and half and If they are going to use the number I think it's more respectful to Dale to use the same font

YGM

Don't care that the 3 is back. I really thought that the font and color scheme was going to change.

I'm just a big Dale Sr fan is all. I feel there are a few other numbers that should be retired as well, but I won't argue with people that feel differently.

Have they said how much longer they expect the delay to last?
