At multiple points during Friday’s game, the Memorial Stadium scoreboard displayed a message on the board mocking North Carolina’s recent statement backing Belichick despite a 2-3 start and major rumors about him looking to leave. That statement included a quote from athletic director Bubba Cunningham, who said Belichick “has the full support” of Carolina athletics despite it being well-known he did not want to hire Belichick.

In their “statement,” Cal mascot Oski wrote, “I am fully committed to Cal Athletics and the program we are building here. Why do you ask?” Cal executives also had a punchline: “Oski has our full support. No really, we mean it. Why else would we make this statement?”

Cal also put up a scoreboard graphic mocking the newest scandal around the couple. An episode of the “Pablo Torre Finds Out” podcast released Friday unveiled leaked footage of Hudson thoroughly criticizing the graphics on a Belichick-centered show, saying she could make the graphics herself. Hudson also cited her own work designing Belichick’s official website, which originally misspelled the coach’s name as “Belichickk.com.”

When the game was nearly over, the Cal scoreboard referenced Belichick's site. The scoreboard declared “graphic design is my passion,” showing a variety of poses for Oski in a similar vein to Belichick’s website, had Oskii.com in a similar misspelling and even joked it was “totally real definitely not a reference.”
