I wish McLouth could've got on in the eighth so we could've cleared Diory.

sucks losing a game after coming back like that

Dammit. We always struggle against the crappy Nats and their shitty pitching.

Completely gave this game away. That's about 5 already this year we've given away. Going to come back to haunt us in September.

Beachy or Jurrjens will be flipped for CF bat before the break imo. Both are pitching above their heads. With Medlen/Minor/Teheran taking the 5 spot in the rotation.

BS! Bravetards can be thankful Wren and Schuerholz,etc..are in command..and your not in charge.

Jair was a 13 game winner in '08, a 14 game winner in '09, won 7 in 20 starts last year in a down year, and is blossoming at the age of 25. He is onto something good, not a fluke run. Why would Atlanta move youth, when Lowe and Hudson aren't getting any younger moving forward? Besides, though getting close, the time for Atlanta still appears a few years away.

If Jair is hocked for a bat, it better be an All-Star caliber player, because that's exactly what Atlanta would be trading away.

You have to give value to get value. Our deepest position with value is SP. You can forget about trading Lowe with his contract. Hudson is not someone you want to trade. That leaves Hanson, Jurrjens, Beachy, Minor, Teheran, Delgado, Vizcaino, and Medlen.

Hanson and Teheran are untouchable and Medlen is coming off TJ. A package with one of Jurrjens or Beachy and some combo of Minor, Delgado, and Vizcaino could easily land an all-star while leaving our SP in good shape.

Oh, I realize it is Atl's position of strength, and that Lowe/Hudson age-vs-contracts are anchors at this juncture, not to mention they the kinda vets needed to start playoff games this year.

Just think Jurrjens is a possible #2 ace this or next year, and that Teheran,etc..may still be further away from the level of consistency that a prospering young Brave team will need in '12 and maybe '13?

It's not like Atlanta is any worse off at the plate than Philly, SF, Colo, Fla, etc..of the NL contenders, with Cinn and StL hitting the ball better and have shown more power hitting to date than the others. I just wouldn't make a rash/risky move, it's too early on.
