also, I love the guy but if we needed to improve our starting 8, we could always trade Ross

he could be a starting catcher for many teams

I think Prado will be our 3B for a while after Chipper leaves. We would definitely be in the market for LF or CF.

I'm curious as to who we trade rather than what we'll be looking for in return, which is probably someone who can play CF, or LF if Chipper retires

Obviously the first choice is Lowe with him having one year remaining at 15M, but he's also the one with the least value

it will be interesting for sure

He could, but I don't think the Braves would explore that option. He's much better suited for RF

apparently Lipka isn't coming along as well as I hoped, not that I'd expect him to make the bigs in the next 2 years

Schafer will get an opportunity to make the team this season and could earn the CF spot next year IMO

our bats aren't very good in the minors right now

Trade Minor for some stud young bats IMO

So glad the Braves took 2/3 from Philly. I was in Philly on Thursday to see Halladay mow down the Nats. Had one of the ushers tell me to let him know if people gave me any problems since I had my Nationals hat on

Oh yeah, Go Nats

I disagree, I think the Braves realize he'll never be the prospect they once imagined. He had two good/decent years in 07 and 08 and hasn't done anything since, which is the time when he got busted for steroids

I think they are doing their best to hope he has some sort of decent year in the minors and regains at least a little trade value

he's the guy who hit the walkoff homer in one of the exhibition games vs. the Twins

he's 26...could be some trade bait

I noticed him the other day when I was looking through stats. I had honestly never heard of the guy or even seen anyone mention him. He's had solid years the last two years and has exploded this year. Only his 2nd year in our organization.

I doubt we'll trade Lowe. I think the Braves like having him around because he's a veteran who (normally) does things the right way. Plus he's not the best value, and he's been pitching well.

I doubt we'll be able to hang on to Jurrjens. He's arbitration eligible next year and should get paid. Plus his agent and Tommy Hanson's agent is Scott Boras.
