I think Wren is hoping that Heyward can fulfill his massive potential so he can extend him further. Heyward is a gold glover but he just stays hurt so damn much

Might be what he is waiting on.

Thanks, Vol! Nice work.
Seeing the years and money owed to BJ though make me throw up a little in my mouth

Heyward will be the most expensive of any of these guys. A decent season and he's looking at $200M+. J Up is probably going to approach Freeman territory, maybe a little less.

I still genuinely believe we had to pay BJ to get Jupton.
If the end result is that JUP sticks around ATL as a 4-win type of player, probably worth the money lost.

Yeah I agree I don't think we get JuP without BJ

That's a great deal, especially if he continue to improve at the plate. Well or improves at the plate, 17 homers looks nice but less than .700 OPS and .400 Slugging

I still have a little faith in BJ. I think he has a better season this year.
Uggla money is what bothers me. Hopefully he has a good first half and some team is stupid enough to take him.

Same for me on both.

No way we re-sign Uggs so who do we go at 2nd base next year?
I think BJ will be better, said he changed his swing up so it can only be better than last year.

Tommy La Stella looks like he is going to be the guy, hell he might even be called up this year if Uggla starts off slow.

Worth a shot. Sounds like he's the opposite of Uggla. We need a high contact guy in the line up that doesn't swing for the fences Everytime
