Johnson could be worth a look, but I doubt his stock will fall far enough on the market to make it worth it.

Just looking at the list of fa, and our best option really might be taking a flyer on a guy like Halladay or Josh Johnson and just praying they work out. I have no idea what the market will be for either but if you can get them on a two year low guarantee, incentive laden deal then it may be worth it.

Would be better than rolling into the season with Alex Wood as your 5th starter anyways.

I'd love to move Uggla and his albatross of a contract but who in the hell would take it without requiring ATL to pay at least $10m each of the next two seasons?

As much as I would like to, I just don't see anyway that happens.

I do hold out some form of hope that beachy can be back and stellar but somehow I know things will just get fricked up again. ugh....

Well my plans for sleep were ruined. frick Fredi. That's pretty much all I have to say about this season. The 8th inning of that game summed up his entire tenure with the Braves. It is desperation, do or die, win or go home to your couches time and he leaves the best relief pitcher in baseball rotting in the fricking bullpen in favor of David Carpenter. frick him. frick him. frick him.

Well Braves can sign Joba and Hughes for the own next year.... They should resign McCann and do something about BJ/Uggla as that is just a black hole in the line up.

The thing that pisses me off most about tonight is that Vent and EOF injuries are probably almost directly related to Fredi's overuse if them early in their careers. Statistical correlations b/t 2 yrs of 80+ appearances early in and arm troubles w/in next few years

ETA: would be much more confident w/ either of them in the 8th

we pissed away the WS that year and in 1996. You remember what pitcher pissed away game 6 in 1991? I've been a braves fan since the late 70's when i was a tot.

We have choked on a national stage every year since 2002 in the playoffs and have not won a single series. This is why i wanted cox fired long before he left. 15 straight division titles at one point and only 1 WS to show for it.
