I've done this for so long man. Since I was 6 years old (1991). I remember how upset I was then.

1 bright spot with all this misery and "What could have beens". Always will be Braves fan, always. But probably am going to take a step back in how closely I follow. At least until our organization decides to wake the frick up and take necessary action.

Do we have a different TV contract than other teams?

Yeah just google it. It's bad and is very damaging. We'll never afford a big payroll as long as it's in place.

Mac gone. Uggla will be traded no doubt. Why would he want to play on team that didn't put him on postseason roster.

We need a damn ACE!!!!!!

I think it's time we make a move for a big arm. We have 3 legit number two and three starters and they will win a lot of games but the common theme these past few years is that we don't have that ace that can we can count on to win that one big playoff game.

That is the difference IMO from us and the dodgers or cardinals or giants.

I agree, you can win with solid but not elite starters if the bullpen is elite. Last two months, bullpen was horrible.

A frontline starter would take a lot of pressure off everybody else, but it's just not going to happen imo with where we are financially.

There's no big time free agent pitcher on the market either.

Santana and Jimenez who you can't even trust if he truly is back or not.

Tough to watch a manager be so passive in an elimination game. Hopefully next year we can be so dominant that his decisions don't even matter.

You've got guys like gallardo coming up in 15. May be able to swing a trade this offseason if Milwaukee doesn't intend to pay anyways.

While not the elite ace he is an interesting option. I honestly would trust him more in a big game than anyone else but minor.

Another guy worth looking at is josh Johnson. Stock is low but could turn out to be a great gamble.

It was part of the deal when Liberty bought the team from Time Warner. As to why they took the deal that way, they never really cared about the long term viability of the team as long as we stayed decent I imagine. They always planned to flip the team down the road.

Do not want Gallardo.

Johnson could be worth a look, but I doubt his stock will fall far enough on the market to make it worth it.

We will see. no way he is in a Braves uniform after leaving him off playoff roster. Don't see it. He will ask for trade.

Much probably depends on La Stella's performance in the AFL. If La Stella doesn't do well I doubt they move Uggla and hand the job to Johnson. Though you never know with Fredi's dumb arse.
