I'd take Cole Hamels over Cliff Lee. As I am sure every team in MLB would do the same. However, I think Cole will cost significantly more than Lee would.

Only because of age, I think Lee is still the better pitcher and has better contract, which could limit Coles value

So what's the deal with this Floyd guy? I don't pay attention to baseball outside of the Braves and a quick google search shows he played for the Whitesox and has a pretty underwhelming stat line. All this talk of the braves need an ace and we get what looks like a #5 starter at best.
Someone give me some info that will make me look like the ignorant fool I am and that this is a much better signing than it seems.
