Will we see Gattis this year? I'd have to imagine eventually

Here's what I do with Gattis. I prepare his arse to play C for next year. No more of this outfield shite.
Stick him behind the plate and hope he can at least become serviceable in the next year.

Agreed. The Braves had to have at least considered putting him in left for this year. There's no other reason to lessen his value

And I totally forgot about Blake DeWitt. He's probably the 25th guy

I'm real wary of Simmons batting lead off. Our lineup would have been a tough out 1-7 if we could have kept Prado to hit lead-off.
Oh well.

I think he can do it. He doesn't swing and miss a lot, and he seems to have a good idea of the strike zone. My biggest fear with him is that he has shown an ability to slump for a few weeks, and you can't have that from your leadoff guy.
I know people would be up in arms over it, but I wouldn't be opposed to letting Heyward bat leadoff until Simmons gets some more big league ABs under his belt.

I actually don't hate that idea. Especially the way JHey was stealing bases last year.

Fredi is fired, Chipper comes out of retirement to be player-manager.
