I just want to thank our bullpen for shitting the bed hard the last two days to leave no doubt that a trade had to be made. Luke Jackson is a real team player.

Maybe Snit is an evil genius and knew what had to be done to get AA to move?

I’d rather throw Fried than Folty at this point

Has to be Folty or Fried and Folty being Folty of '18 is their best chance to make a real push. They're gonna have to give him a chance down the stretch and hope that slider is fixed.

I'd rather Gausman over mental midget Folty.

We also really don't know if Kakes will even be available then.

was really really really really hoping they'd find a way to swing a decent starter at the deadline but i guess i can accept a couple of mediocre pen arms because even mediocre pen arms are better than what they ahve in place already

i think shane greene is extremely overhyped. he's not bad but he historically has issues with control and his FIP and xFIP are like 2 and a half runs higher than his ERA, he's due to regress

melancon is a pretty good addition, the guy from texas is decent. i think they're all better than what's in place now so it's a net upgrade. and they didn't really give up anyone worthwhile to get them so i can't complain.

They picked up some damn solid pen arms and didn’t pay much to get them. Bolstered bullpen while keeping the farm intact is kind of a dream scenario, no?

We just DFA'd Gohara

Sucks. Was absolutely electric 22 months ago when he first came up. Get it though.

Do we even know where we are going to put the Commissioners trophy? Probably should get on that.

No chance Adams sneaks on to be a PR?

It was getting obvious that he wasn't going to realize his potential here. He would be a hell of a flyer for a rebuilding team like the Blue Jays, though.

Folty might be the wild card in the entire National League right now. If he can get right, this team becomes very, very dangerous.

Swap Webb for Gausman and this looks accurate. I will always stand by my stance that Gausman's fastball/split combo would really, really play up in the bullpen.

I said the same thing. Going an inning would let him rip that fastball back into the upper 90s and sink it

August could be a very big month for us. We have a series at Minnesota and a series with LAD.

Other than that, every team we play this month has a losing record.
