Can't take that pitch with 2 strikes.

Hey guys, perhaps we Braves fans shouldn’t be the ones whining about getting a couple extra inches off the plate. He earned that pitch cause he’s dealing.

I hate this fricking mindset.

Playing well doesn't mean you "earned" the right for the rules to not apply to you.

If it's off the plate, taking the pitch is a good thing. That strike to Duvall was off the plate.

Another great pitch for the backwards K. I hate that it’s against the Braves, but Bauer is really fun to watch pitch. I had forgotten how good he can be.

Bauer is a great pitcher. He's even better when he's getting calls three inches off the plate.

Yeah just what a guy as good as Bauer needs is an extra 3 inches off the plate.

Too bad we can’t complain since Glavine got a big zone 25 years ago.

Are they using different balls again for the playoffs?

Fried dealing as well. I haven't kept up with Cincy but where do they lie on the spectrum of best bullpen to the Phillies

Started off the year shitty, but have been better the last few weeks. Overall, I'd say they are average.

Without knowing the exact statistics I’d say our bullpen is just slightly better than the Reds.

Except it does in baseball. Good pitchers who have shown great command and good hitters who have shown the same both get the benefit of the doubt. And very few have ever benefitted as much as prime Maddux and Glavine.

There is an art that they mastered of finding an umps strike zone early, hitting it consistently, then gradually pushing it out to where hitters can’t hit change ups there because they run out of bat. And I’m not some hard core traditionalist—I’ve wanted the DH in the NL for years—I’d be fine with going to a computer calling balls and strikes. Safe and out too. But until they move to that, the human element of pitcher/hitter/umpire will be something to be exploited.

Our hitters fricking suck today. Typical playoff performance from the Braves. Always falling behind in the count and then can't do anything.

And yes, Bauer has something to do with that. But good lord, it's the same old song and dance every year in the playoffs.
