Anybody else see the problem coming when Uggla, BJ, Simmons, and the pitcher hit at the bottom of the order? Good luck top of the order.

No clue what you mean, so I will assume you are smarter than I am and have already started shitting my pants.

Simmons has been hitting better at the bottom of the order, but yeah that's probably going to result in a ton of K-K-pop-up type innings. It's especially going to suck when Freddie and McCann are on base in front of them.

My point exactly. Nothing like what we have now.

Like I said, the Braves have already had two stretches like this with BJ in the lineup. A lot of streaky guys, BJ included. Just happen to have a lot of them hot right now.

BJ streaky? And we haven't had that group at the bottom. When BJ was playing, CJ was eighth.

Have you followed his career at all?

I have followed this year, the one that matters.

He has been streaky in his career, but he hasn't been streaky this year. You have to actually look like a professional baseball player for a few weeks at a time to qualify as streaky.

Exactly. I remember Uggla had a pretty good career at Florida. The past doesn't matter.

Many Rays fans hated BJ for the same reason. Hit in the .190s for two months last year and then single-handedly carried the Rays on his back in September.

2 months? And I wonder if his .190 looked as bad as he does this year?

He hit .194 one month last year and no lower than .248 any other month unless you are counting the one 3 game series in October.

ETA: There is really no way of getting around the fact that he has been historically bad this season.
