Boston is going with a talented, young lefty. Need Austin to do damage. Ronald and Eli would also be nice, but they’ll be a few days.

Got the notification the lineup was up. Went to check it. Had to do something for my research assistant for a few minutes and came back to post it and it was pulled down.

Genuinely shocked how bad Boston has been this season. I thought they might be a World Series contender.

Would love to see Strider have another quality start. It’d be nice if the Braves didn’t have to make a deal for a starter.

Even if Strider gets back to his A+ form. We still would have to make a move for a starter.
There is way too much volatility in our rotation right now for the postseason between Sale and Strider's injury history particularly in the latter part of seasons, the chance Elder experience some regression to the mean. Ritchie being a rookie who gets outs but also has a high walk rate which does get amplified in postseason play and who knows how long it will take Schwelly to get back on track whenever he comes back in July.
Still have some time to collect more data before we have to pull the trigger on a move, but I'd rather be safe than sorry because a contending season can be torpedoed quick if your 3-4 man rotation isn't at its best in the playoffs.

In other news, we may have something special in Tate Southisene.
Dude has a .926 OPS in Augusta this year with 7 homers and 23 RBI in 35 games. He has also drawn 27 walks and is 25/31 in stolen base attempts.

Just looking at the team in the dugout pre game you can tell this year is a total 180 from last year

I agree, he has been looking really good. Hopefully he continues to develop quickly. Still a few years away most likely
