I don't think he owes the Braves a hometown discount or anything. But I think the Braves should match anything that is close to reasonable in years and money.

Definitely want Freddie. 100%. But a quick look at this dude’s stats, and it doesn’t appear it would be a big drop off in production. He actually had a better year than Freddie last year. He’s 4.5 years younger and isn’t a free agent until after ‘24. But what in the world would it take to get him? To be clear, this is simply a contingency plan.

This is big if true, because I don't think the Braves can live it down if they let Freddie walk over to the Dodgers, considering how intertwined those two franchises have been over the last 4 years.
Especially can't let it happen when Liberty Media has already said how much money they've made from the World Series win.
